Yes, as the matter of fact, that is a television in our kitchen.

To the right is the original ironing board closet.  We use is as a medicine cabinet.

Porcelain farmhouse sink.  It's beautiful.  I know it's a sink.  It's a beautiful sink!

The kitchen leads to our laundry room.

Which leads us to the back door.
There are so many windows!

Here's the backyard!  To the right is our shed.
The driveway actually leads to our backyard so this is where we park.

Time to get back inside.

Dale said don't come back unless you bring dog treats.
He's the boss.
We hope you enjoyed your visit and noticed that Dale managed to be in most of the pictures.
There ya have it!

september 2012

It's Lindsey reporting from Camp Ewers.

Literally, CAMP Ewers.
Alright, we're not sleeping outdoors without electricity or running water (thank goodness).
However, this is as close to camping as I ever hope to be.
We got the keys to the house over the weekend.
Since Monday night we've been moving things to our new house.
Everything at the new house is unpacked and in it's place.
Perfect!  Great!  Fantastic!

But.
We're still sleeping at our current house - where things are packed and not in their place.  I don't have access to my favorite coffee cups or my leave in conditioner.
Roughing it.

Still, I find myself getting sad when I think about not ever sleeping there again.  There have been a lot of sweet memories made in those walls.  It's where my husband proposed to me.  We've spent hours upon hours relaxing at the pool, chatting on our deck after a date night, running up and down the hills of the shady neighborhood.  It's where we lived life together for the past three years.  It's our home!

We just ran out of room.
We're moving to a bigger home where we'll make more memories.
And we'll live life together.  And it will be our new home.

It feels like it's been forever and ever since I've sat down to write a post.   I'm sure I've been painting furniture and packing our home for the past seven years.  Somehow, I'm still not finished!

I think I know why.
My OCD and type A personality is hindering my packing.

Hubby packed up his entire gym room in about an hour.
Like, curtains and all.

I looked at his boxes and noticed they were all labeled "random."
Oh no.
Although astounded by his quick packing, I couldn't help but cringe at the lack of organization.

When he told me he was done, I remember looking at him and feeling baffled.
The type of baffled you feel when you walk away from a stranger wondering if they just complimented you or made fun of you directly to your face.  Or...the type of baffled you feel when your husband condenses an entire room into three large boxes in the amount of time it takes you to tape up your boxes.

I knew repacking and relabeling his boxes wasn't an option.  He would question my sanity.
Then I remembered that sanity isn't something I have much of right now due to lack of sleep and if anyone is going to question what little bit of it I have left, it needed to be me.

I threw caution to the wind last night and began grabbing as much stuff as I could and shoving it in boxes.
You know what?
The world didn't end and we were able to get a lot accomplished!

As I mentioned, we've been at the new house every night this week.  There's no cable hook up yet and neither one of us has thought to bring a radio.  It's been just the two of us cleaning, unpacking, hanging pictures and eating dinner on the dining room floor.  We haven't made it to sleep before almost midnight.  As sleepy as I am, I must say that I have really enjoyed spending what has turned out to be good quality time with my very hot, very sweet and very handy husband!

This Saturday is the BIG moving day and we are so lucky to have family willing to help.
I can't wait to see everything come together...and to watch tv again!

I'm at the office now and must get back to work.
Happy Friday Eve!
