lil update

My grandmother made us this beautiful quilt for our wedding!
Can you imagine all of the hard work?
This is the third quilt she's made for me.
I would love to sew a quilt for my children and grandchildren one day!

My grandmother also made our ring bearer pillow for our wedding.
Isn't it perfect?

I am sort of obsessed with our mercury glass candle holders from Pier 1.
I sort of want to spray paint everything with Krylon's mercury glass spray.

Because I'm married to the greatest man alive, I get breakfast delivered to me upstairs almost every morning before we leave for work.  I think I've mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again because I think it's so sweet and it's now almost all the time.
Whole Wheat Toast or Oatmeal
One Egg
Turkey Bacon
Did I mention he's the greatest man alive?

These two kids stare at me when I actually have the extra five minutes to SIT and eat my breakfast.
It is so rude of them to stare.
They would never do that to their Daddy because they know they would get in trouble.
But...seriously...these wittle angels are so cute.

I've been cooking a lot lately.  I pick out two or three recipes a week.  Each one being new and healthy.  Lately I've been cooking recipes from skinnytaste and chocolatecoveredkatie.  I am addicted!  The food is delicious and I love knowing that I've created a healthy meal.
I'm not sure how I began being so interested in cooking more nutritiously.  Hubby and I are not health freaks, but we are health conscious.  You won't find a bag of chips or candy bars at our house.  You will find reduced fat Cheez-Its and Smart Ones turtle fudge ice cream!  Of course, I enjoy a bite of decadent cake or fried _______ every once in a while.  If I didn't give into temptation on occasion, I would wind up being some freak stuffing oatmeal pies under my mattress!

I have no idea which recipes I'll be making this next week for dinner.
However, I did narrow down my dessert choices to one of these two.

Baked Oatmeal With Blueberries And Bananas
OR
Pink Lemonade Cupcakes

MmmHmm!

Hubby and I went to Acedemy today to pick up some more weights for us.  While we were there, I got a whole new running outfit and I'm pretty excited out it!  I began running on a regular basis this time last year and have been wearing the exact same outfit everyday.  I don't have a problem with wearing the same clothes for 30 minutes each day.  It's what I was wearing that was starting to bother me:  my $5 shorts from Academy that seem to ride up to my bust line while still being just a few inches above my knees (somehow), my Gatlinburg t-shirt with an oversized neck (which was an upgrade from my old University of Alabama shirt that I had to quit wearing to avoid random "Roll Tide" comments in mid-run), and a sports bra that is less supportive than an angry ex and has some type of threading and/or material tangled up in the back straps.  Admittedly, the outfit doesn't bother me after I start running because as with every other worry that I have it takes a back seat while I enjoy my "me" time.  However, I have been wanting running capris for months because of the colder weather and I have been needing a new, supportive sports bra.
Hopefully, I'll have much more comfortable runs now!

For the record, I promise not to wear my running capris to ANY store for ANY reason.
What is it with women wearing such tight pants in public?

Alright, so I'm all caught up.
It's the weekend now and I need to get out from behind this computer screen.
We have no plans except to enjoy it...and so far, we've been doing JUST THAT!
